This study addresses the influence of social networks on the behavior of adolescents aged 15 to 19 years at the Ángel Polibio Chaves School, in San Miguel de Bolívar. Through a quantitative approach, around 50 students were surveyed to analyze their use of digital platforms and their relationship with aspects such as social interaction, academic performance and emotional well-being. The results indicate that excessive use of social media is linked to increased levels of anxiety and low self-esteem, while students with moderate use of digital platforms tend to maintain better academic performance. It is concluded that social networks have a significant impact on the behavior of adolescents, both positive and negative, depending on their use.
